Lesson 1 Introduction

Welcome to lesson 1 of the 'Apps for Good' course which will cover the rest of term3, 4, 5 and 6.  We will follow the development of a phone app from research through to development and pitching. You will  have plenty of opportunity to showcase your skills whether technical, business or artistic.  While you will all be assessed individually you will work in terms and if successful we might consider entering your ideas in a national competition.

 Learning Objectives

Understand what the 'Apps for Good' course is about

Define what an A pp is.
 Understand what other students have achieved.

Lesson Tasks

1.  We will not have a seating plan as we would like you to work in groups.  However, this is at the discretion of your teacher who may change things if you misbehave.


2.  Make sure that you write the blog address in your planner

3.  Open a Google doc called 'Apps for Good' and save it so that others can comment.  Now post the URL of this as a reply to this post.

4.  We will now look in detail at the 'Apps for Good ' course.

HOMEWORK

Think about your 3 favourite non gaming apps on either your phone or tablet.  In your 'Apps for Good' doc under the heading, 'Phone Apps' list the apps as follows:
